3. Hardware — The Hidden Hero

Cheap drawer channels are the #1 reason kitchens look tired in three years. Always insist on soft-close telescopic channels and soft-close hinges from Hettich, Hafele or Ebco. The cost difference is small; the daily-use difference is huge.

4. Counter Depth and Tall Units
